The Williams Lake Library pop-up library is almost here.

While renovations begin at the Williams Lake Library, library staff will be bringing limited services to you through pop-up libraries outside the library doors.

Pop-up services begin Tuesday, September 8, and will run through October 16.

Here’s when you can visit:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fridays: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

At the pop-up library, you’ll be able to browse a limited selection of books, DVDs and audiobooks, pick up your holds, place new holds and connect with library staff.

Holds from libraries across British Columbia will continue to be available for pickup in Williams Lake.

We look forward to seeing you at the pop-up library while we work toward reopening the renovated Williams Lake Library in November.

Stay Connected to Your Library

While the Williams Lake Library is temporarily closed for renovations from August 30 to November 3, you can still enjoy library services from home.

With your library card, you can access the CRD Library’s digital collection anytime, including:

• eBooks
• Audiobooks
• Newspapers
• Research tools
• And other online resources

Explore the digital library at www.cln.ca and keep reading, listening and learning throughout the renovation.

And remember: please keep your checked-out library materials during the closure. Due dates will be automatically extended, no overdue fines will accrue, and patron accounts will be automatically renewed.

Prefer in-person service? Pop-up libraries will be available outside the Williams Lake Library from September 8 to October 16, where you can browse a limited selection, place holds and pick up requested materials.

Big changes are coming to the Williams Lake Library this fall.

The Cariboo Regional District’s Williams Lake Library will temporarily close beginning Sunday, August 30, while renovations are completed at the branch. The last day the library will be open before the closure is Saturday, August 29, and the branch is scheduled to reopen Tuesday, November 3.

We know a temporary closure is a big change for our community, so library staff will continue providing limited services through pop-up libraries outside the library during the closure.

Pop-up library services will run from September 8 to October 16, offering a limited selection of books, DVDs and audiobooks, as well as hold pickup and assistance placing new holds.

Tuesdays: September 8, 15, 22, 29 and October 6 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wednesdays: September 9, 16, 23 and October 7 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fridays: September 11, 18, 25 and October 2, 9 and 16 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Please note that patrons are asked to keep all checked-out library materials during the closure. Items will be automatically extended, no overdue fines will accrue, and patron accounts will be automatically renewed.

Digital library resources, including eBooks, audiobooks, newspapers and research tools, will also remain available throughout the closure.

We appreciate your patience as we complete these renovations and look forward to welcoming you back to the renovated Williams Lake Library in November.

"Who let the dogs in? Karen, Karen, Karen". Hard to believe that we are already in the "dog days of summer" (in other words, August) but what a great excuse for another dog display from Karen. This display (see below) is located on the far wall across from the Circulation Desk and is full of great reads, watches and listens for all ages. And remember, all items are free to borrow with your library card.
