Regional Cadet Support Unit (Northern)

Regional Cadet Support Unit (Northern) RCSU(N) As one of only a handful of organized youth programs in the North, the Cadet Program has a very positive impact in northern communities.

Currently, there are approximately 400 cadets in 16 corps and squadrons across the North along with about 50 officers of the Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC) and 75 Civilian Instructors. The training of the army and air cadets is supported by the Regional Cadet Support Unit (RCSU) located in Whitehose, Yukon Territory and established on 3 September 2000. The role of the RCSU (Northern) is to manage and support the Cadet Program for the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon Territory. RCSU personnel consist of officers of the CIC, regular and reserve force officers, and non-commissioned members.
