WRFD crews putting the finishing touches on a residential structure fire this morning. D Shifts quick response and knockdown saved this home and a majority of it’s contents! Amazing work by everyone involved 🔥 🚒 💪🏼

Today, members of the White Rock Fire Department rolled up their sleeves and gave back in a different way—by donating blood with Canadian Blood Services. 🩸🚒

Every donation has the potential to save lives, and we’re proud to support the patients and families who rely on this critical resource every day.

Thank you to everyone who donated and to Canadian Blood Services for the incredible work they do.

Over the past five days two members from Local 2407 White Rock Firefighters Executive and Health & Safety committee attended the IAFF Strive for Excellence Conference in Las Vegas.

Focused on leadership, member wellness, and bringing valuable knowledge back to our membership and the community we serve.

Vehicle fire yesterday, structure fire today! Your local WRFD crews were hard at work again this afternoon making a quick knockdown of a two story residence. Fast response and rapid deployment from crews mitigated what could have been a far more disastrous outcome. Much of the structure and contents were saved due to the action from WRFD’s A shift. Well done team 🚒🚨🔥

This week, union members from your WRFD Local 2407 have the privilege of attending the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Association Robert E. Hall Legislative Conference in Victoria.

Amongst many topics, this includes meeting with MLAs to advocate for safer communities and stronger firefighter protections — including NFPA 1710 standards and presumptive legislation recognizing occupational cancers, heart injuries, and PTSD under the Workers’ Compensation Act.

We are honoured to take part, grow as a department and stand up for our members and the community we serve. 🔥🚒
