White Lake Provincial Park Boasting one of the largest lakes on the Lake Superior Circle Tour, White Lake Provincial Park is home to nature trails, wetlands, and 187 beautiful campsites.

Come see for yourself what White Lake has to offer 🏕️🛶🌲 White Lake was established as a Provincial Park in 1963, making 2013 our 50th anniversary! We are a Natural Environment class of Park and we are well known for our fantastic fishing (especially the Walleye!). White Lake Provincial Park is situated in pristine boreal forest, 35kms west of White River, Ontario and is well worth the trip, no matter where you are driving from.

⚠️White Lake’s campground and gatehouse are closed for the year after 2:00 PM on September 20th.

Although peak season has come to an end, White Lake is still open and ready for you explore and take in all the amazing sights and sounds September has to offer! If you're planning on visiting us this September, please read the following information carefully:

2026 CLOSING DATE:

🗓️White Lake’s campground and gatehouse are closed for the year after September 20th.

GATEHOUSE HOURS & SERVICES:

🏠 Gatehouse hours are now running on a reduced, weekly schedule and will be updated every Sunday. For the week of the September 14th to the 20th the gatehouse hours are:

Monday:11:15AM—6:00PM

Tuesday: CLOSED

Wednesday: CLOSED

Thursday: CLOSED

Friday: 11:15AM—6:00PM

Saturday: 11:15AM—6:00PM

Sunday: 8:15AM—2:00PM

🚙 Arriving to the park before or after the gatehouse has open or closed? Please visit our website at https://reservations.ontarioparks.ca/ or call the reservation phone number at 1 (888) 668-7275 to purchase a campsite or day-use permit. Reservations are available online and through our call centre up to 9:00PM on the day of arrival. This is the best way to secure your campsite during your stay outside of the gatehouse’s operating hours.

🪵Park information, campsite registration/check-in, day-use permits, merchandise, and firewood are available at the gatehouse.

🛶Canoe and kayak rentals are closed for the season.

GENERAL INFORMATION & REMINDERS:

🐻When you are camping at White Lake, you are camping bear country! Please be mindful and aware as we are guests in their home. Here are some tips to ensure you are being both respectful and during your stay: https://www.ontario.ca/page/prevent-bear-encounters-bear-wise

🐕‍🦺 Dogs must be kept on a leash (not exceeding 2m) at all times within the park, with the exception of the designated Dog Beach and pet exercise area:https://www.ontarioparks.ca/pdf/maps/whitelake/campground_map.pdf

👩‍💻Be sure to check the park website prior to visiting to stay up to date about park alerts such as closures, water advisories, and fire bans: https://www.ontarioparks.ca/park/whitelake/alerts

🔄Our maintenance lead, Kate, took a stroll through the park comparing what the amphitheatre, playground, and comfort station look like now to what they looked like many years ago.

How many times have you found yourself in this situation: You're enjoying your time in the park, and you see a beautiful flower that you NEED to find the name of. Despite your expert analysis, the internet doesn't seem to know which "pretty pink flower with petals" you're referring to.

If you've found yourself in this spot before, you might want to check out Naturalist!

Naturalist is a social network for nature lovers, a crowdfunded species identification system, and organism occurrence recording tool. Just upload your nature photos and allow the vast network of community scientists help to identify what species you've photographed. Not only that, but your photos will contribute meaningful data to the study of biodiversity in your area!

No service? No problem. You can upload photos to the Naturalist app whenever you're back online, or from a computer using the Naturalist website.

We’ve got tons of stickers, clothing, pins, stuffed animals, and plenty more to help you remember the great times you had in Ontario Parks. 🏞️

We’ve even got some beautiful collections from local artists including stickers, magnets, totes, and shirts. Perfect for the wildlife lover in your life! 🦊🐟🐦‍⬛
