Our Story
The Horton family has been offering cut-your-own plantation-grown Christmas Trees on their farms in York Region since 1964.
Our original customers who came as children now have children (and grandchildren!) of their own and they continue to make choosing and cutting down a tree a family tradition.
We also welcome many families during the springtime Sugarbush season at our Slaters Road "home" farm.
Today we estimate that over 1 million visitors have visited our farms with their families, friends, or schools.
Horton Tree Farms are owned and run by the Horton brothers who have spent a lifetime creating ecologically kind Christmas tree crops.
It takes approximately 10-12 years for a sapling to grow into a harvestable tree, and each year, we employ many local students to prune the trees so they are 'picture perfect'!
Our customers tell us one of the things they enjoy the most about their visits is the warm welcome they receive from one of the Horton family members (especially Jake!) and enjoying a day outside, creating memories for years to come.
We look forward to seeing you in December and again in March!
