♿ Accessibility matters every day - and National AccessAbility Week (May 31-June 6) highlights the people, partnerships, and investments helping make Whitby more inclusive for everyone.

Through the Town’s Accessibility Improvement Grant Program - funded through revenue sources such as licensing fees from companies like Uber and Lyft - the Whitby Accessibility Advisory Committee has awarded $10,000 in matching funding to Circle Taxi to support accessible transportation in Whitby.

Funding is also available for local businesses, non-profits, and schools working to improve accessibility and inclusion in community spaces, programs, and services.

As the warm spring weather approaches, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and make a positive impact on our environment!

Join Whitby’s Anti-Litter Cleanup Program and help us clean up our parks, trails, and roads for a cleaner and greener town!

👉 Reminder: If you see garbage bags in parks with the Community Clean Up sticker - your neighbours have been busy cleaning up and our amazing Operations staff will be by to collect it soon.
