𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐃:
➡️ Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a lifelong disability caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. FASD is preventable.
➡️ It affects brain development and functioning, not just physical appearance.
➡️ There is no cure, but early identification and supportive environments can make a meaningful difference in outcomes, especially in the early years.
➡️ Many individuals with FASD are undiagnosed or misdiagnosed, particularly during early childhood, delaying access to appropriate supports.
➡️ FASD is one of the leading neurodevelopmental disabilities in Canada, affecting an estimated 4% of Canadians—more than autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome combined.

Beaches are posted when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the provincial standard.
