Hi friends, family, and loved ones. We hope you are yours are keeping well and staying safe throughout these challenging days.
As the holiday season and colder weather approaches, we are looking for a great way to come together, lend a helping hand, and provide loving support to those in need.
The idea simple:
The Who: Organized by Lori Lees & Mackenzie Shenker – and made possible through the generosity & kindness our wonderful connections.
The What: Create care packages filled with essential supplies to donate to various community members in need at the identified small Women’s Shelter, and the community we have come to notice throughout downtown Hamilton.
The When: Winter 2021. We will be accepting donations from now - Sunday January 17th, with a target goal of delivering all packages by end of January 2021.
The Where: We will be creating and distributing two different types of packages for our community:
Womens Care Packages
• Donated to the Anishnaabe Kwewag Gamig Inc. Alderville Regional Women’s Shelter – Roseneath, ON
This facility provides a safe and short-term residence for women and their children seeking safety from partners, families, or selves. Many of these women are in between homes and will be needing essential supplies once they leave the shelter to start a new life.
Our goal is to make this transition a little easier and provide these women with some comfort & support. From communication with shelter representatives and the women, the women and or mothers are commonly missed midst donations.

Hamilton Homeless Population
• Distributed throughout the Vine St. Community in Hamilton, ON
Known for its high density in homeless population, we are looking to deliver care packages. We personally love to spend our time in Hamilton, for its rich small business downtown and gorgeous conservation areas and have noticed a lot of folks in need of some aid.
The Why: Simple. To give back, to spread love, and to provide support to those in need.
The How: We have identified two ways for people to get involved:
1. Physical Donations
o Lori & Mac to coordinate collection, storage, and distribution of all Care Package items
o If you, your family, your friends – have items you would like to donate – we are more than happy to come to you to safely collect
o List provided below with an overview of the items we would ideally be looking to collect
2. Financial Donations
o Lori & Mac have set up a GoFundMe campaign with a target fundraising goal of $500
o All funds donated will go towards purchasing items for our Care Packages
o Receipts and photos will be uploaded online to show how the dollars were spent!

Womens Shelter Care Packages
• Goal: Create x10 Care Packages to donate to the Alderville Regional Womens Shelter
The contents of each package will be assembled in a laundry bin for a convenient delivery and for future use!

Feminine hygiene products | Cleaning Supplies | Toilet Paper | Toothbrush & Toothpaste | PJ’s | Slippers | Un**es | Dish Cloths | Towels | Blankets | Hairbrushes & Hair Elastics | Journals & Pens |
Hamilton Homeless Care Packages
• Goal: Create x25 Care Packages to donate to the Hamilton Homeless Population
The contents of each package will be assembled in backpacks for a convenient delivery and for future use!

Hats | Scarves | Mitts | Socks | Reusable Water Bottles | Hand Sanitizer | Lip Chap | Blankets | Local Maps | Hand Sanitizer & Masks | Toothbrush & Toothpaste
