The park has officially reopened as of 8am on Friday September 11th. Power has been fully restored and roads and campsites are clear. Please be mindful of staff as storm cleanup is likely to continue for the remainder of the operating season.
Group camp will remain closed due to storm damage.

As a result of serve thunderstorms on September 3, many areas of Wheatley experienced significant damage, including trees, roadways and other critical infrastructure. The park will be closed until September 11, 2026 while repair efforts are underway.

Affected reservations have been automatically cancelled, and reservation holders will receive a full refund with no penalty. There is no need to contact Ontario Parks to receive your refund.

Public safety is our top priority. Please respect the closures and maintain a safe distance from work crews in the area to ensure everyone's safety. We appreciate everyone's understanding and patience during this period. We will reopen the park as soon as it is safe to do so.

Comfort stations & dump station are closed due to the power outage. Please use vault toilets until power is restored.
When power is restored an update will be posted.
