Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation Inc. The Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation was founded in April 2009. The Foundation is a registered charity operated by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Our goal is to raise the necessary funds to construct and equip a new hospital. The Weyburn General Hospital has provided over 65 years of quality healthcare. As healthcare technologies advance and our community grows, so does the need for a new hospital. Since 2008, the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation has been working with various stakeholders including the Sun Country Health Region, Saska

tchewan Government, and local governments in pursuit of our vision for a new hospital. A new hospital requires government support and community readiness. Based on recent health facility projects in Saskatchewan, we estimate that building and equipping a new hospital in Weyburn will require approximately $80 to $100 million. The Saskatchewan government will contribute 80% of the building costs and the remaining funds will be raised by the Hospital Foundation.
