Westville Police Youth Corps The Westville Police Youth Troop Program is designed to allow youth to become an integral part of our community partnership and work along side our officer

The Westville Police Youth Troop is an organization for youth ages 13 to 18. They meet regularly at the Westville Fire Hall, 2020 Queen Street, Westville. Members wear full uniform, practice drill and maintain a strict code of discipline, dress and deportment. The Youth Troop receives training in various skills to enable them to perform duties including:
• Drill
• Leadership
• First Aid
• Citizen

• Firearm Safety
• W.H.I.M.I.S.
• Camping and Survival
• Police-related topics such as Crime Scene Investigation
Along with their training the youth are given the opportunity to advance within the organization including the ranks of Private, Corporal, Sergeant, Warrant Officer, Master Warrant Officer, and Chief Warrant Officer. Members work to achieve certification in First Aid and W.H.I.M.I.S. as well as awards and level badges for performance. Members of the Youth Troop attend summer camps, parades and visit the Police Academy and Forensic Laboratory. They also work with police officers during training and events and provide valuable service by:
• assisting with parking and traffic control during major events
• assisting non-profit organizations with resources for events
• performing security patrols
• assisting seniors
