Our local fire department is crucial to our community and this "like" contest is a way our department could get some much needed funding. A split second to CLICK ORGINAL PHOTO and "like" the original post it all it takes to support this critical service.

"I serve as a junior firefighter with the Westport Volunteer Fire Department, having joined in 2021. This photo was taken during my inaugural practice.

Never did I imagine I'd find myself in this role. My interests always gravitated towards law enforcement or paramedic work, but firefighting? That had never really crossed my mind until one unexpected day when my mom suggested I explore junior firefighting. From that moment, the thought captivated me, leading me to contact the Chief and attend the following meeting.

Since that pivotal point, my experiences have been nothing short of fulfilling. Although I was acquainted with many department members due to our tight-knit community, my involvement has deepened these connections significantly. I truly relish the learning opportunities and camaraderie I experience with everyone there." - Tegan Theriault
