Whew!!! When the baskets go up it means Westport Blooms is almost ready for summer!! Of course we send a big shout out of THANKS to Nancy Hale Farm Gate Gardens for her simply gorgeous baskets. And where would we be without our railing crew - pictured L to R: Bob Thompson, Murphy Thompson, Bloomer Irene Lepter, Bloomer Linda Mulville and Peter Minelli.

Westport Blooms has the honour of helping our community recognize loved ones and special occasions by sponsoring a commemorative flower planter or hanging basket in the downtown core.

Whether you’re celebrating the arrival of a wee one, marking a wedding anniversary, or remembering someone special, this could be the perfect tribute. We’ve recently had a few planters and baskets become available for those who may be interested.

The $300 sponsorship covers all planting, watering, and maintenance for three years, along with a plaque featuring your choice of wording.

It was a fantastic weekend for Westport Blooms! We had the absolutely pleasure of working side by side with over 30 community volunteers. On Friday, we unloaded, bagged, tagged and generally organized over 350 trees. On Saturday, it was curbside deliver day! We must thank Kudrinko's for their generous and delicious support. No “hangry” volunteers on our watch!! So with the tree sale now officially put to bed for another year, it’s time for the flowers and gardens! Onward!

We’re now about two weeks away from returning our pots, which means our tree sale will soon wrap up for the season.

This weekend we turn the clocks ahead for daylight saving time — a sure sign that spring is just around the corner. Longer days, warmer sunshine, and before we know it… planting season!

Our “Onesie Twosie” Sale is continuing as the last of this year’s trees find their way to new homes. True to the name, we’re now down to the ones and twos. Once these final trees are spoken for, we’ll be wrapping up our sale for the season.

WOW — our Onesie Twosie Sale is certainly popular! Nearly a dozen orders headed out the door last week alone. 🙏 ❤️

This week we’ve added our remaining potted plants to the mix — because why stop at one when you could squeeze in “just one or two more”?

As always, when we launch our Onesie Twosie Sale, it means we’re inching closer to wrapping up for the season. Once these last little gems are gone, we’ll be closing the garden gate until next year.
