📢Julia’s Junction Inclusive Play Space at Westbank Centre Park is temporarily closed for repairs through May 16.

📅 The warranty-related work, for repairs to the rubber ground surface, which has de-laminated, was originally expected to start on May 13. However, the City was able to obtain an earlier time, on short notice, and took the opportunity in the hopes that the work could be completed before the May long weekend, the unofficial start to summer, and an even more popular time for the well-used and loved play space.

🌦The schedule will be subject to weather and other factors.

⏰The City of West Kelowna is unable to temporarily reopen and re-close the playground during the scheduled work for safety reasons and we thank users for their patience and understanding.

These cold, blustery days are upon us which can only mean one thing...winter is coming! We hope you've all continued to enjoy Julia's Junction this year, and while the park remains open year-round, there are a few things to keep in mind when you visit over the winter months.

❄️ Snow will accumulate throughout the play area; please be careful as you use the equipment.
🛖 Washrooms are closed now for the season, however there are porta-pottys on site throughout the winter. Please do let us know if they need attention!

We are thrilled to see Julia’s Junction featured in the below advertisement by Kal Tire . It was wonderful working with the Kal Tire folks and we are very grateful for the RePlay grant that helped us pay for the poured in place rubber at the playground!

The Kal Tire Replay Fund, helped the PURKIDS foundation build the Julias Junction all inclusive playground in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada.

So, here’s a cool thing! 💁🏼‍♀️

The manufacturer that created our beautiful playground equipment, Playworld chose Julia’s Junction to feature in their 2024 catalogue. This catalogue is used around the world to help advertise their playgrounds. We feel pretty proud and honoured that they chose us for this special project.

Yesterday we gathered with Playworld’s team of photographers and production folks for a photo and video shoot. These images and clips will be used in their 2024 catalogue along with additional marketing material (actual professional images will be shared soon!) 📸

Today was the big day! We opened Julia’s Junction for the first time with a very special ribbon cutting event. Thank you to ALL who participated today and those who rallied behind us to get this amazing playground built! It’s almost surreal that we made it here; we are grateful to and the team for their support and partnership!
