Heads up, City of Welland and Town of Pelham!

We're installing a new sanitary sewer as part of the Quaker Road Sanitary Sewer project.

Starting Thursday, Sept. 17, the intersection of Quaker Road and Montgomery Road will be closed until late November.

Local access:

• Quaker Road residents between Rice Road and Montgomery Road can access Quaker Road from Rice Road

• Montgomery Road and Summerlea Avenue residents can use the temporary entrance at Summerlea Avenue and Line Avenue

• Nouvel Horizon School traffic must use Line Avenue and Clare Avenue to access Quaker Road

2026 MUNICIPAL ELECTION | Welland has new ward boundaries for the 2026 Municipal Election.

The boundaries were updated to reflect Welland's population growth and help maintain fair representation across the city. That means some residents will be voting in a different ward than they did in the last municipal election.

We visited our Welland Day Camp Leaders, Summer Sportz Coaches, and public pool Lifeguards and Instructors to learn about a typical day on the job.
