Spaces still available.

Artist Ruth Langwieser is coming to Wawota on Saturday September 12th to facilitate two wet felting workshops. Those interested can sign up to make a jellyfish or dragon eye. This is an adult/teen program. Spaces are limited and registration is required. There is no cost thanks to funding from South East Sport, Culture & Recreation District Inc. Very excitied to be able to be able to host this program at the library. The Wawota Public Library will be broadcasting the 2026 SSCL President Lecture series on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 - 3:30. This 8 part series will explore how AI has jumped in and caused a disruptive change to society and the world, what this means, and how AI affects us.

First lecture in the series will be Wednesday September 16th from 1:30 - 3:30.

Big thank you to Danny Kazam for coming out to Wawota and running a young wizards camp. We had 27 children participate. Kids had a chance to make a their own magic hat and wand, learn a few tricks and watch a magic show. Was a great afternoon. Special thanks to Community Initiatives Fund for sponsoring the event.

Danny Kazam is coming to Wawota on Tuesday August 25th for a Young Wizards Day Camp. He promises an afternoon of magical adventure for children aged 6-12. Parents interested in registering their children can contact the Wawota Public Library to register. Special thanks to the Community Initiatives Fund for covering the cost of the program.
