✔️Use an insect repellent containing DEET or Icaridin. Follow label directions.
✔️Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants.
✔️Stay on marked walking and hiking trails.
✔️Check on yourself, your children and your pets for ticks after being outdoors.

🍂 Mosquitoes can spread West Nile virus and remain active during warm fall weather. You can help reduce mosquitoes around your home by removing places where they breed. Mosquitoes need standing water to lay their eggs.

Remember these tips:
☑️ After it rains, remove any standing water around your property.
☑️ Store items like flowerpots, watering cans, and wheelbarrows upside down.
☑️ Replace water in bird baths twice a week.
☑️ Cover rain barrels with a fine mesh screen.
☑️ Remove any leaves and twigs from eavestroughs and down spouts.
☑️ Cover garbage, recycling, or compost containers to prevent water from gathering.
