Big news for Wasaga Beach!

Last week, with MPP Brian Saunderson, Wasaga Beach celebrated the announcement of a new 288-bed long-term care facility from PeopleCare Communities— a $100 million investment!

✔️ 288 modern long-term care beds
✔️ $100 million investment
✔️ Approximately 350 jobs
✔️ Construction beginning this fall
✔️ Anticipated opening in 2028

This project will become the community's first long-term care home and the largest long-term care home in the South Georgian Bay region.

🚨FIREWORKS PROHIBITED IN WASAGA BEACH

A reminder to all residents and visitors that the Town’s updated Fireworks Bylaw is now in effect.

Fireworks are prohibited at all times throughout Wasaga Beach. This includes all residential areas, public spaces, parks, beach areas, streets, and municipal property.

Fines for violating the bylaw are significant:
➡️ Individuals: up to $25,000 for a first offence, $50,000 for subsequent offences
➡️ Corporations: up to $50,000 for a first offence, $100,000 for subsequent offences
