🇨🇦 🇬🇧 Happy Victoria Day!

Today is a federal Canadian public holiday. Victoria Day is observed on the last Monday preceding May 25 to honour Queen Victoria, who is known as the "Mother of Confederation". The holiday has existed in Canada since at least 1845.

It is also informally considered the start of the summer season in Canada.

Enjoy!

As we head into opening weekend, we’re so excited to finally see some sunshine and warmer weather! ☀️
As much as we hope for a smooth opening weekend, there are bound to be a few hiccups here and there as we kick off a new season. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding.
You will also see some new staff this season! They’re excited to meet all of your wonderful faces as they settle into their new roles. Starting a new job on opening weekend can be a little nerve-wracking, so please help us give them a warm welcome and a little extra kindness.
A few helpful tips for the 2026 season are below!

⚠️ I can tell it’s an election year when the online bullies post their lies in an attempt to win votes for their pals.

The man who created this post needs to recognized for what he is a

He and his fake ID’s spend way too much time trying to convince you that anyone but the current BS regime is bad…. LOL, it makes many of us wonder what do they pay these people for such loyalty?????

To post about me, and block me from accessing the site, is simply an attempt to influence others with a one sided narrative of lies and misinformation. Bully behavior at its finest.

⛔️ Be aware… Stop giving the online bullies any of your precious time. if we all stop listening they’ll simply continue to pat each other on the back and identify who else we need to put on ignore ;-)

Thank goodness this problem has been publicly recognized. Having lived through r**e threats, death threats and attacks on my character, my family and my business while serving as an elected official, I wholeheartedly agree change needs to happen and it’s starts with us all.

✍️ Please consider signing the pledge, we can disagree we just don’t need to bully, intimidate or threaten others who have a different opinion.

💜 It’s International Women’s Day, March 8th, a day of unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action celebrated around the world.

Locally, I had the privilege of listening to, and to speak with former Premier Kathleen Wynne at a Women’s Day event supporting in Alliston. She is an inspirational speaker and a genuinely nice woman.

She shared that the statistics are still not good enough: Canadian Women earn on average $0.88 for every $1 a man makes, globally women make up less than 30% of elected officials, Female led companies account for less than 17% of Canadian small and medium sized businesses. We can do better and must identify the issues and acknowledge the need for change, it’s a great place to start. Other things we can all do include;

Sharing stories of women making a difference in our community, your school or your workplace.

Taking action to support gender equality in your everyday life.

Supporting women-led initiatives,

Challenging stereotypes, promote fairness and understanding.

Every little bit helps.
