🌾 Protect your crop AND your market access! 🌾

Before you spray any crop protection products this season, remember that reading and following the label isn't just best practice—it's the law. Improper use can lead to unacceptable chemical residues, putting our entire market at risk.

Always double-check your product labels:

⏱️ Rate: Stick strictly to the recommended application rate and maximum yearly limits to keep residues safe.

🌱 Timing: Only apply at the correct crop stage.

📅 PHI (Pre-Harvest Interval): Always respect the exact number of days required between spraying and cutting. This gives the product time to break down. Even if late-season threats pop up, do not cut corners on your PHI!

Tools to help you stay compliant:

Canola and pulse growers can use the Keep it Clean Pre-Harvest Interval Calculator https://bit.ly/4uGZ5Hl to easily track their timing.

Protect your harvest and keep our grain marketable. Read the label every time! 🚜✨

This week is Emergency Preparedness Week!

We all have a role to play in emergency preparedness. By knowing your role, you can prepare for what is within your control. Emergency services are the first call for help, but depending on the size and severity of the situation, there could be delays reaching your community. Households are encouraged to build self-reliance by preparing to meet their needs for a minimum of 72 hours.
During an emergency, everyday services may not be available and critical public services can become overwhelmed and not able to operate at full capacity. Individuals equipped with the right supplies are more likely to avoid personal emergencies during prolonged disruptions.

This Emergency Preparedness Week, remember that everyone has different skills and needs. Knowing your community and supporting one another can save lives during an emergency. Strong connections help response and recovery.
