We’re kicking off the 2026–2027 school year with some WES spirit!

Tomorrow, Friday, September 4, we will bring our staff and students together for our Welcome Back Kick-Off Assembly. We’re excited to celebrate the start of a new year, introduce some new WES traditions, and have a little fun together!

And the fun continues next week with WES Spirit Week — September 8–11!

Classes will have a chance to stop by the library and capture a class photo!

Let your WES spirit shine! Wear your Gold & Black and show your WES pride!

🏆 Thursday – Teachers vs. Students
Get ready for some friendly competition as our teachers take on our students in the gym!

🧸📚 Friday – Stuffie & a Story
Bring one favourite stuffie and a story and settle in for 20 minutes of reading.

We can’t wait to start the year with a little fun and connection.

In preparation for welcoming our students back tomorrow, the staff of WES and WHS had the opportunity to come together over lunch today.

It was a great chance to connect, share some laughs, and celebrate the strong partnership between our two schools. While we may work in different buildings, we share the same purpose of supporting the students and families of Wainwright.

WELCOME BACK, WES STUDENTS & FAMILIES!

We are so excited to welcome our students and families back for the 2026–2027 school year!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2, our hallways will once again be filled with the energy and smiles of our students! Please be sure to check your email for important updates.

As we begin a new school year together, we look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, welcoming new families to our WES community, and creating another year filled with learning, growth, connection, and memorable moments.

From 2W to you - Have an awesome summer WES!

56S held a class party at Bevans park in town and invited their pets to come say hi! They also had time to hit the trails, play at the park, and play Capture the Flag! We met the guinea pigs Taffy (and Smores), Rex, Jasper and Harley, Winnie, Pippa, Lily (not pictured), and Simba the cat. We heard about many more pets that would have loved to visit.

As Buffalo Trail Public Schools marks the final day of the 2025–2026 school year, we would like to take a moment to recognize Delnorte School and the significance that this day holds, not only for students, but for staff, families, alumni, and the greater community.

Thank you to every student, parent, teacher, staff member, volunteer, and community supporter who poured their passion into making Delnorte School special. The memories, impact, and community spirit created within its walls will remain an important part of the school's legacy and will undoubtedly continue to impact many for generations to come.

We celebrate and honour the generations of students, staff, and families who have been part of the Delnorte School story. Thank you, Delnorte School.
