Today, Grant RM Fire & Rescue is proud to unveil our new truck!

This addition to our fleet is an important investment in the safety of our community and will help us continue to respond effectively when called upon.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Fort Garry Fire Trucks for their support and work in helping make this possible.

Most importantly, thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers whose hard work, time, and commitment helped bring this project to life. This would not have been possible without the incredible support and effort from our department members and community.

We are excited to put this truck into service and continue serving our community with pride. ๐Ÿš’

On April 21st, Grant RM Fire & Rescue conducted water rescue training to further strengthen our skills and preparedness.

Water rescue training is a critical part of what we do. Whether responding to flooded roadways, ice-related incidents, or water emergencies, having the knowledge and hands-on experience ensures we can act quickly and safely when every second counts.

This type of training is a valuable asset to our community, helping ensure that our team is ready to protect lives in a wide range of emergency situations.

We remain committed to ongoing training so we can continue to serve our community with professionalism, confidence, and care.

๐Ÿš’ Grant Fire Rescue โ€“ Early Morning Structure Fire Response ๐Ÿš’

At 3:33 a.m. on Sunday, February 22nd, Grant Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire.

Five members responded with three units: E871J, W873J, and W872J.

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy clutter on the exterior of the building, which made access to the fire more challenging. Despite the difficult conditions, firefighters quickly located and extinguished the fire, preventing further damage and saving the remainder of the structure.

We would like to remind everyone that when using wood-burning stoves or outdoor wood heat sources, please keep a clear area around your home and outbuildings. Exterior clutter can contribute to fire spread and limit emergency access when every second counts.

All units were back in service at 6:00 a.m.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who respond at all hours to keep our community safe.
