🐾 PUBLIC NOTICE – DOG WASTE

Residents of Viscount, we are aware of individuals who continue to leave dog droppings on the streets and grounds of Viscount.

Please be respectful and clean up after your animals. This will be our final warning before fines will be issued.

A little common sense and courtesy goes a long way. Please do your part to keep our community clean and respectful for everyone.

🗳️ VILLAGE OF VISCOUNT – BY-ELECTION RESULTS

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Village of Viscount by-election held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 and the Advance Poll that was held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

The official results are:

Councillor
• Sherri Eades — 19 votes
• Ken Schwalm — 40 votes
• Karen Vishloff — 21 votes
• Caley Wakely — 47 votes

Elected: Ken Schwalm and Caley Wakely

One of our drivers came across this cart today, and we wanted to share a quick reminder with everyone.

Please make sure all garbage is bagged and placed inside your waste cart before collection. Garbage bags left beside or on top the cart will NOT be picked up by the truck and could also result in your cart not being tipped.

Help our drivers out by keeping everything inside the cart, with the lid closed, and ready for collection. 💙

📢 REMINDER – ADVANCED POLL TOMORROW

The Advanced Poll for the Village of Viscount By-Election will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

🗳️ Election Day is Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Please remember to bring government-issued photo ID that clearly indicates your civic address in Viscount.

⚠️ Important: A P.O. Box number or mailing address will NOT be accepted as proof of your civic address. Your ID must clearly show your physical/civic address in Viscount.

If you do not have the required identification, you will not be able to vote.

🚰 Notice Rescinded – Watermain Repairs

The watermain repairs have been completed, and the Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA) for the affected areas has now been rescinded.

Residents in the 100 Block of Bagot Street and 100 Block of Bangor Avenue may resume normal water use.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while these necessary repairs were completed.

🚰 Public Notice – Watermain Repairs

Please be advised that watermain repairs will be taking place on Wednesday, August 19th.

During the repairs, water service will be shut off to the following areas:

100 Block of Bagot Street
100 Block of Bangor Avenue

Once the repairs are completed, a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA) will be in effect for the affected area until water testing has been completed and laboratory results confirm that the water is safe to drink.

Residents will be notified once the PDWA has been rescinded and normal water use can resume.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this necessary repair work is completed.
