Did you know that 71% of Canadian teens have experienced bullying ?💙

To raise awareness about bullying, 12-year-old author Zora White of Île-Perrot shared her experience with bullying and feeling invisible at one of our recent Learn & Grow mentoring activities. She shared her story while offering the children advice on overcoming challenges through creative outlets like drawing and writing. ✍️🎨

Inspired by her journey, Zora wrote and published Zora vs. The Mean Girl, a story about resilience, self-confidence, and overcoming bullying. 💙

Afin de sensibiliser le public à ce problème, Zora White, une autrice de 12 ans originaire d’Île-Perrot, a partagé son expérience de l’intimidation et de ce sentiment d’invisibilité lors d’une de nos récentes activités de mentorat « Apprendre & Grandir ». Elle a raconté son histoire tout en donnant aux enfants des conseils pour surmonter les difficultés grâce à des activités créatives comme le dessin et l’écriture. ✍️🎨

Inspirée par son parcours, Zora a écrit et publié Zora vs. La Fille Méchante, une histoire sur la résilience, la confiance en soi et la façon de surmonter l’intimidation. 💙

🥰💫Meet Anysia. Recently matched with her mentor F***y, they are both so excited get started on meeting each other and doing fun activities together like hanging out, and talking. Anysia who loves to draw, presented F***y with a portrait of her! 🫶

Our matches see each other about 4-5 hours a month and what a difference it makes in a young person's life. Interested in helping out, find out more about how you can become a volunteer mentor, making a donation or both.

🥰💫Voici Anysia. Récemment jumelée avec sa mentor F***y, elles sont toutes les deux très excitées à commencer à se rencontrer et à faire des activités amusantes ensemble, comme passer du temps ensemble et bavarder. Anysia, qui adore dessiner, a offert à F***y un portrait d’elle !

Nos jumelages se voient environ 4 à 5 heures par mois, et cela fait toute la différence dans la vie d'un jeune. Si vous souhaitez vous impliquer, découvrez comment devenir mentor bénévole, faire un don, ou les deux.
