The nomination period for the 2026 General Local Election closed today, September 11, at 4:00 pm and the Chief Election Officer has officially declared the candidates for Mayor and Councillor for the Town of View Royal.

The Town is accepting a second round of applications for the 2026 Volunteer Community Improvement Grant Program, with up to $500 available per project.

Projects could include neighbourhood clean-ups, environmental initiatives, little free libraries, emergency preparedness workshops, or activities that bring neighbours together.

West Shore RCMP Front Counter Closure Reminder!

Please be advised that West Shore RCMP Front Counter services will be closed from September 5thโ€“13th, 2026 due to the transition to our new Front Counter location.

Beginning September 14th, 2026, regular Front Counter services will resume at our new location:

#117โ€“693 Hoffman Ave. in Langford

As of September 5th, our detachment located at 698 Atkins Ave. will no longer be accessible to the public due to construction starting this month.

Police services remain available 24/7 via our non-emergency line 250-474-2264 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.

Councilโ€™s adoption of the OCP marks a major milestone in the View Royal 2050 process and provides a long-term framework for how our community will grow and change over the next 20 years.

The plan was shaped through extensive community engagement, with residents, businesses and community members sharing their ideas and feedback through surveys, workshops, open houses, pop-ups and more.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped shape View Royalโ€™s future.
