Join us on Labour Day, September 7, for a full day of solidarity! Show up for BC Transit workers in front of the BC Transit head office (520 Gorge St) and then head over to Memorial Park for the annual Labour Day Picnic hosted by for an afternoon of fun, food, and community building!

Event details: September 7 Rally for transit workers 9:30am to 10:30am at 520 Gorge Rd, and VLC labour day picnic 11am to 2 pm at 1200 Esquimalt Rd.

It was a wonderful morning of solidarity with Victoria BC transit workers. The Victoria Transit Riders Union members were honoured to join in rallying for BC transit workers in Unifor Local 333-BC who are fighting for fair pay and dignified working conditions.

Today we saw the Victoria community come together including transit workers and their families, transit riders, the , , , , , and the Vice President of Unifor Local 333-BC, Luke Hill.

This rally sent a clear message - transit workers are ready to fight and their supporters will continue to show up for them.

The VTRU knows that a fair deal benefits everyone by making transit safe and reliable for both workers and riders.

Stay tuned for more information on future rallies and ways to support the workers in their fight for a fair deal.

Transit workers in Unifor Local 333-BC begin a uniform ban on Monday as a start to job action in the Victoria area. BC Transit has failed to offer workers a fair contract after 16 months of negotiations, and workers voted in May to strike, with an overwhelming 97% "yes" vote. We cannot have excellent transit without happy drivers! Join us on Monday in front of the BC Transit Office for public rally in support of these workers!
