GVHS is hiring a Development Project Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Real Estate Development, the Development Project Manager oversees the planning and construction of housing development projects on behalf of GVHS. Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing construction and design teams to create new housing, writing affordable housing funding proposals, feasibility studies, and facilitated stakeholder engagement activities.

The GVHS 2026 AGM was a high-energy, well-attended event. Staff, board members, and our community came together to celebrate GVHS, conduct AGM business, and to learn from a panel discussing "Community Housing Matters: Now More Than Ever!" The panel was moderated by Kathy Stinson, past CEO, CoolAid, and featured panelists:

Virginia Holden, CEO, Greater Victoria Housing Society

Thom Armstrong, CEO, Cooperative Federation of B.C.

Kevin Albers, CEO M'akola Housing Society.

Thanks to Mayor Alto (Victoria), Mayor Murdock (Saanich) and Mayor Goodmanson (Langford) for attending and providing greetings, and to Minister Christine Boyle for providing greetings by video.

We thank the District of Saanich for a recent grant announcement, which will allow us to continue with pre-development work at our project at 983 Sutcliffe Road. Working together, we are supporting affordable rental housing in Saanich and across Greater Victoria.

A Season of Gratitude 9/14
We are pleased to have the support of the City of Victoria. The Roundhouse project was approved this year, which will allow us to bring about 200 new affordable rental homes to live. We are also the grateful recipient of funds in the City's Housing Reserve Fund to help bolster our Quadra redevelopment project, an affordable rental complex earmarked for hotel and hospitality workers.
