Supporting children, youth and families in the North Okanagan since 1974.

We offer free counselling, support programs and specialized services to strengthen families and promote healthy relationships NOYFSS provides a broad range of social programs reflecting the dynamic needs of our community. Through support programs, education and specialized home services, we strive to strengthen, nurture and protect the healthy development of our children, youth and families. We are a certified AMSSA Safe Harbour location.

Whether you're parenting a toddler, school-aged child, or teenager, there's a group designed to support you on your journey.

📚 The Vernon is working to offer more free programs for teens and is hosting a Teen Input Session on August 19 at 6 PM.

Teens are invited to share their ideas for fun, supportive, and educational activities.

If you know a teen who could benefit from connecting with others in a safe, welcoming space and wants to have a say in this programming, please encourage them to attend!

👍👍 Two Thumbs Up for Bocce!

The 2026 Greater Vernon Open Charity Bocce tournament is celebrating 21 years and still rolling strong! 🎉

A huge thank you for your generous $1,000 donation to NOYFSS programs, helping support children, youth, and families in our community.

Pictured are Ed Schratter (right) with NOYFSS Executive Director Dean Francks accepting the donation on behalf of the organization.

And a very special shout-out to co-founder Bill Trickey. For more than two decades, Bill's passion, dedication, and community spirit have helped make this tournament a local tradition and a tremendous force for good.
