A huge thank you to William Azaroff and OneCity Vancouver from us and Pete Fry for Vancouver, for a hard-fought campaign that put real issues such as housing, small businesses, affordability and more, on the table.

With William stepping down, Vancouver has the chance for real change and growth with a city that works for you and a mayor who will too.

We're grateful to the people that work hard and the unions that protect them. Grateful to those before us who fought to keep hours reasonable and work places safer.

Many of our candidates are proud union members. Annette Reilly - Public Servant with Directors Guild of Canada B C District Council, UBCP/ACTRA and a permittee with ACFC and IATSE 891, Alisha Masongsong with CUPE BC, Bridget Burns with COPE 131, and Spencer Van Vloten with BCGEU 1703. Thanks for taking care of our candidates!

This year has seen a lot of unions standing up for its workers throughout some difficult times, and we stand with those unions every time.

Enjoy time to reflect and hopefully you had a great long weekend!

It’s been a big day in Vancouver politics.

With Stephanie Allen stepping out of the mayoral race and the progressive field shifting, I sat down with Pete Fry to talk about what comes next.

We talked about the conversations happening across the progressive movement, what unity could actually look like, and how we make sure Vancouverites stay at the centre of the conversation.

Pete shared his thoughts on the kind of leadership Vancouver needs right now: collaborative, practical, ambitious, and willing to work with anyone who is serious about getting things done.

Here’s a short conversation with Pete about the state of the race, the case for progressive cooperation, and his vision for Vancouver’s future.
