This weekend the VanGreens are hitting the streets in a big way!

Saturday and Sunday our teams will be out door-knocking and asking Vancouver what they want to see happen in City Hall, on the Parks Board, and with the School Board over the next 4 years.

If you're a Green supporter and want to help out, get in touch with our volunteer coordinator, Genevieve.

Don't worry if it's your first time out with us: our canvass coordinator, Kinsale, will make sure you're paired up with a veteran and give you all you need to know to help us out.

October will be here before we know it. We need the city's support behind a progressive mayor with experience and integrity like Pete Fry for Vancouver. We need a Green presence on all our municipal bodies to ensure he has the support he needs as mayor. We need feet(s) in the streets to make that happen.

After 12 years of leading the Green Party NB / Parti vert NB, MLA David C**n announced he's stepping down.

We're grateful to have had such a passionate, dedicated Green who has served New Brunswick, and his constituents well. He's certainly a role model for any aspiring Green!

Once again, thank you, David!

Pride Month matters!

For as long as people need to fight to be recognized and acknowledged for who they are and whom they choose to love, they need representation. Pride has persisted, and the resilience of everyone on their unique journey will always be celebrated by us.

To all in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community: we see you, stand with you, and will always champion you!

We hope everyone takes time to recognize what it takes for some people to just "be" in this world, and the historic struggles the community has faced (and still deals with) to get to where it is today.

Our community is full of vibrant, diverse folks, and you can learn more about them through various community events that are always ongoing, this and every month!

Check out Vancouver Pride Society, QMUNITY to name a few spots to start.

It's Indigenous History Month and we would like to acknowledge that we are on the unsurrendered land of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlil̓wətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) people.

This month, and every month, we encourage everyone to engage with Indigenous culture - there are many ways to do this!

🌿 Check out Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art

🌿 Walk through, or maybe volunteer with the Nexway̓s wa lh7áy̓nexw (Transformed Life Garden), the V6A Gardens (Hawks & Hastings), or the Medicine Wheel Garden (Trout Lake)

🌿 Attend one of the many Indigenous cultural programs our Community Centres have to offer (feel free to shout out any you know on this post!)

🌿 Celebrate culture at West Coast Night at the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society.

🌿 Take in culture as a form of reconciliation

🌿 Support Indigenous businesses (feel free to shout out any you know on this post!)

🌿 Work towards being an accomplice rather than an ally

Take this month to listen to and celebrate the stories of our Host nations & all Indigenous nations.

The whales can't vote. Vancouver residents can.

Last night, ABC and Vancouver Liberal Park Board Commissioners voted down stronger protections for marine wildlife.

If you want leaders who will stand up for Vancouver's coast, parks, and wildlife, vote for the Vancouver Greens.

Join the movement. Donate, volunteer, or become a member today.
