Japanese government has lifted all restrictions on exporting lethal weapons. This policy chnage happening soon after Japan signed a $7 billion deal with Australia that Mistubishi Heavy Industries to build warships.

Japan's action is to bolstering anti-China forces and heightening regional tensions.

Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre (NNMCC) were signed MOU with Mitsubishi Canada Ltd to launch 3 year partnership.

Mitsubishi Corporation is a Japanese company that holds a 15% stake in the LNG Canada project, procuring weapons and selling them to the Japan's Ministry of Defense for 22.7 billion yen ($1.44 billion USD).

Forming a partnership and signing a MOU with Mitsubishi Canada Ltd, constitutes an act of endorsement and complicity in blood-stained gains only made possible by siding with genocide, military expansion, and oppression.

We sent letter to demanded that NNMCC terminate its MOU with Mitsubishi and disclose the extent of Mitsubishi’s contributions, but they failed to respond and even planning to deploy surveillance cameras in Nikkei Place.

We call on Nikkei community to join our meeting for be part of collective decision making to think about strategies to divest, share your thoughts and ideas for our ongoing campaign.

日系文化センター・博物館(NNMCC)は、カナダ三菱商事と3年間のパートナーシップのために了解覚書を締結しました。

三菱商事は、LNGカナダ事業に15％分の株式を保有し、227億円（14億4000万米ドル）相当の武器を調達し、日本の防衛省に販売している日本企業です。

三菱商事との了解覚書ぼ締結は、ジェノサイド、軍事拡大、抑圧に加担することによって利益を得る企業に加担する行為に他なりません。

私たちは、NNMCCに対して了解覚書の破棄とのカナダ三菱商事の関与の程度を開示するよう求める要望書を送付しましたが、未だに回答は得られず、さらにNikkei Placeに監視カメラを設置することを計画しています。

日系コミュニティの皆さんには、私たちの会議に参加し、投資撤退の戦略について共に考え、進行中のキャンペーンに向けたご意見やアイデアを共有し、集団的な意思決定の一翼を担っていただくように呼びかけます。

1977年の4月23日は、沖縄で日本軍の「慰安婦」という名の性奴隷化を強いられ、日本の敗戦後、初めて公に被害を告発した裴奉奇ハルモニの証言が朝鮮新報に掲載された日です。裴奉奇ハルモニは生前、日本軍性奴隷制の最高責任者・天皇裕仁の謝罪と朝鮮半島の統一を強く願っていました。

日本政府は、日本がアジア太平洋全域において何千万もの人々を殺し、傷つけ、奪い、焼き尽くした侵略戦争と植民地支配を行なった、昭和とヒロヒトの時代を祝う「昭和100年」式典を計画している。

私達は、未だ果たされぬ裴奉奇ハルモニやサバイバーたちの願いを受け継いで、日本による軍事拡大に反対し、抗議集会を日本領事館前で行います。

On April 23, 1977, the Choson Sinbo published the testimony of Bae Bong-gi Halmoni, a Korean victim of the Japanese military sexual slavery in Okinawa, so-called “comfort women." She was the first person to publicly speak out about her suffering after Japan’s defeat in war. During her lifetime, Bae Bong-gi Halmoni strongly wished for an apology from Emperor Hirohito, who had ultimate responsibility for the Japanese military sexual slavery system, and for the reunification of the Korean Peninsula.

The Japanese government is planning a ceremony called “Showa 100 years” to commemorate the Shōwa era and the reign of Hirohito—a time when Imperial Japan waged a war of aggression and colonial rule across the Asia-Pacific, killing, injuring, plundering, and burning tens of millions of people.

In memories of all the survivors of Japanese military sexual slavery, we protest against Japan's ongoing militarization.

Nikkei Vancouver for Justice sent letter to demand NNMCC to cut ties with Mitsubishi Canada Ltd on March 2nd, 2026.

Not only did we not receive a reply by the deadline of March 16th, 2026, but we have not received a reply from March 26th to the present day.

Two AmeriKKKan warships based at the US Naval Base in Yokosuka have been deployed to the Arabian Sea and are firing Tomahawk missiles to attack southern Iran.

Now, US marine units stationed in Nagasaki and Okinawa/Ryukyu are about to be deployed too.

Japan's colonial policies force 74% of Japan's US military bases with 25,843 US troops onto the Ryukyu Islands, turning them into the front line of militarization or even treating them as expendable.

US military bases across the Ryukyu Islands and Japan, and the broader East Asia region are being treated as a supply closet for imperialist war of aggression in West Asia.

Canada's massive border bill, Bill C-12, has been adopted after third reading at Senate.

カナダの国境管理強化法案「法案C-12」が上院での最終審議を経て可決された。

Bill C-12 will become the country's largest machinery of deportation: allowing the government to deport refugees without a hearing, imposing arbitrary retroactive one-year bars, and granting mass immigration status-cancellation powers to ministers.

法案C-12は、国内最大の強制送還制度となってしまう。政府が難民を審理なしに強制送することを可能にし、恣意的な遡及的な1年間の禁止措置を課し、大臣に移民ステータスの一括取消権限を付与するものだ。
