One image is an excerpt from a resident donating her wedding day flowers. The other communication is a list of complaints I've recently written and filed with BCHRT and OPCC - they are now being investigated. Note this image shows only 6 of the 13 complaints submitted thus far.
Each of the (BCHRT) complaints contain at least 10 to 15 pages, and there are still more to file. It is because my smiling face (all fun and giggles, eh) makes it look easy that I need to share this to show what Life is really like for a (Black?) charity founder/ CEO in Vancouver, BC, Canada https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq49UGiNvnY/ .
I often consider how simple (and how much easier) Life would be if I did not have to also contend with the insecurities of the few who are in less control of themselves. Perhaps this is everyone's problem?
Yes, I've asked myself many times since inception: Why have I not abandoned this charity, considering all else I've been forced to endure since '16? As you'd suspect, I've continued for many reasons, however primarily because I've seen from any and all perspectives the operation of this charity 'makes sense' -- benefiting all members of our society.
Earlier this year we accepted a proposal from an expecting mother (identifying with disabilities) to network artists around our cause, creating work for herself and opportunities for others in our community, from working artists to elementary school students, as well as members within and outside marginalized groups in Canada.
In addition, as you will read below how the basic recycling of flowers (our floral program) is clearly beneficial to all points impacted within our communities, from residents, to environment, to ecology, to the financial and social opportunities created within marginalized groups.
I am Forever Grateful To Goodness for the opportunity to explore my Potential while making others smile. More to come.
To the volunteers who've recently contacted, we are almost ready. Thank you for staying tuned, and sharing our efforts to make a positive change within our communities.
Yes, there is certainly plenty to complain about, however there is also just as much to Learn, and accomplish. Still Smiling. Back soon. Stay Bright.
