Langley RCMP is announcing the results of Project E_PURSUANCE, a major investigation involving allegations of extortion and violence within our communities.

The investigation began in June 2025 after an auto dealership reported significant extortion demands. The business was subsequently targeted by shootings and arson at locations in Surrey and Langley.

Following an extensive investigation involving police and partner agencies across Canada and internationally, five individuals have been arrested and charged with offences including extortion, fi****ms offences, arson and drug trafficking.

Four of the accused were arrested in Surrey. A fifth accused, who was located in India, was identified as part of the investigation and arrested upon his arrival in Toronto following a coordinated operation involving the RCMP, CBSA, IRCC and international RCMP Liaison Officers.

Investigators seized fi****ms, am******on and magazines, as well as suspected fentanyl, co***ne and o***m.

Project E_PURSUANCE was led by Langley RCMP with significant support from CFSEU-BC and Federal Policing Pacific Region through the BC Provincial Extortion Task Force, along with numerous law enforcement partners.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be pursued.
