Building connections beyond our usual spaces 💛

Today, seniors from Marpole Neighbourhood House joined our Time & Space program for a shared breakfast, meaningful conversations, and new friendships. It was wonderful to see everyone connect, laugh, and learn from one another while strengthening our community ties.

📚❤️ This week at Drop-In, we celebrated the many ways learning happens through connection.

From shared laughter between parents and children, to grandparents passing down wisdom one puzzle piece at a time, and families bonding over books, these everyday moments help build a lifelong love of learning.

In recognition of International Literacy Day this week, we're celebrating the stories, conversations, and play experiences that bring generations together and help young minds grow.

🌟 A wonderful week at Family Drop-In! 🌟

This week, families enjoyed a special visit from Jenna from the Vancouver Public Library for her monthly circle time, filled with stories, songs, and connection. 📚🎶

MOFP also set up a resource table featuring helpful materials for families, including back-to-school items, nutritious meal and snack ideas, recipes, family resources, guidelines, and much more. 🍎🎒

MOFP's Time & Space with Andrea seniors group enjoyed a wonderful day exploring the beauty of VanDusen Botanical Garden! 🌿🌸

As part of the visit, the seniors participated in a special ink-making activity led by VanDusen staff, using natural materials inspired by the garden. They also had the opportunity to pick colourful plants and flowers to take home, bringing a little piece of the garden with them. 💐
