A productive day in Victoria advocating for the future of mineral exploration in British Columbia. 🇨🇦⛏️ 🏔️

I appreciated the opportunity to present to the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services at the BC Legislature and to connect with members of the press gallery, Keith Baldrey and Rob Shaw

Our message was straightforward: if BC wants to attract investment, create jobs, and help meet growing global demand for critical minerals, we need to address the challenges facing the exploration sector today.

Key priorities include:
⛏️Faster and more predictable permitting timelines
⛏️Improved access to land for exploration activities
⛏️Greater certainty around DRIPA

Exploration today creates the mines of tomorrow. The decisions we make now will determine whether British Columbia fully captures the economic opportunity for generations.

Canada is not for sale. Full stop.🇨🇦

But standing up for Canada means more than words are required - it means action.

Mineral explorers are more than ready to meet the moment. They’re the first step in finding and developing the mines that will define Canada’s economic future and our sovereignty. That work has never mattered more.

Here’s my message to Canadian policy makers: Back our explorers. Support policies that enable explorers to do what they do best this summer - explore! ⛏️ 🏔️

BC is well positioned to lead in critical minerals, but timely, predictable permitting will be essential to turning current momentum into real projects and economic growth.
