MacCorkindale Elementary PAC

Our PAC meets monthly to bring ideas and plan events to support the MacCorkindale students! Come join Dr. H.N.

MacCorkindale is proud to be a neighbourhood school serving the community and its families for over 50 years. MacCorkindale Elementary was constructed in 1967 as the first Open Area school in British Columbia using the guiding principle of collaborative team teaching, which means that three to four staff work in close proximity in a given Area sharing space, curricular resources and students. The

school is named after Dr. Hugh Neil MacCorkindale, Superintendent of Schools from 1933 to 1954. MacCorkindale has four Open Areas (A, B, C and D) with its built-in resource centres, a Library, Gym, music/band room, as well as an enclosed Kindergarten room. In 2011, Area C was renovated for 21st Century learning. The school is equipped with computers and mobile devices, such as iPads, for student use to access the Internet and work towards problem and project based learning. There are two beautifully landscaped enclosed courtyards, spacious grounds offering open fields, and a variety of recently renovated adventure playground equipment.

MacCorkindale is a swing site and has hosted Kingsford-Smith in 2017 and Weir Elementary in 2021 while their schools undergo seismic upgrade. MacCorkindale students reflect the multi-ethnic nature of the community with almost ten different languages spoken at the school.

The Neufeld farms frozen food fundraiser is now open for ordering! You can choose from a variety of frozen goods from appetizers to entrees and frozen meats to desserts.

Our last hot lunch session (April 10-June 19) is up and running. Please place all orders before Sunday, March 15th at 11:59 PM. No late orders will be accepted. After the session is closed for ordering no refunds will be given.

Movie Night: Lilo and Stitch live action (2025)

PAC is hosting a movie night on Friday, Dec.12. Doors open at 5:30 PM and the movie will start at 6:00 PM. Tickets and pizza can be ordered through munch a lunch under fundraising open. Tickets are free but anyone attending must have a ticket pre-ordered.

All tickets and pizza must be ordered by Thursday, Dec.11th at 9:00 PM. There will be a concession for snacks and drinks.

All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and you can bring a blanket or chairs to sit on.
