135 Bell-Irving Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron 135 Bell-Irving Royal Canadian Air Cadets parades Thursday nights 1900-2130 hrs at Seaforth Armoury. "To Challenge and To Conquer"

The Royal Canadian Air Cadets is a Canadian national youth program for persons aged 12 to 18. It is administered by the Canadian Forces (CF) and funded through the Department of National Defence (DND) with additional support from the civilian Air Cadet League of Canada (ACL). Cadets are not members of the Canadian Forces, nor are they expected to join the military. Cadets is a great way for youth

to learn more about Canada, make new friends and develop life skills that will enable them to succeed no matter what career they choose.

Throw back to the summer! These past few months have been a blast for our 135 cadets as they participated in countless summer adventures at their camps, and we’re excited to share all their amazing experiences you!

In Vernon, Sgt Tao marched with the Okanagan Military Tattoo Drill Team, earning the award for Top Cadet Platoon 4.

On another note, WO Tsai took on the prestigious role of Company Sergeant Major (CSM) of the Band Delta Company and received the Sword of Honour award.

Congratulations to the both of them, and the amazing achievements of cadets who participated in camps this 2023 summer!

Seniors cadets will meet this Thursday from 1830-2130 hrs, and all other returning cadets & recruits will meet next Thursday from 1830-2130 hrs at Seaforth armoury.

135 hosted their Change of Command Parade this June to signify the end of Captain Blackstock’s time as the squadron’s Commanding Officer. His lessons have been invaluable in various squadron disciplines– especially in supervising 135 and 888’s first Field Training Exercise in three years this April. Starting this September, 135’s new Commanding Officer will be Captain Dight. Cadets are excited to have her back!

In addition, several awards were presented to cadets in the following categories:

Top Range Cadet: AC Howie, Dominic
Top Bandsman: AC Sarmiento, Ethaniel
Cadet Fellowship Award: Sgt Tao, Owen

This year’s Annual Ceremonial Review marked 135 Bell-Irving Squadron’s 81st Anniversary! This parade highlighted our accomplishments this past year, from squadron-wide activities to the outstanding cadets that participated in them. 135 is proud to have engaged in power familiarization flights, sports tournaments, and Field Training Exercises. In addition, teams like band, marksmanship, effective speaking, and public affairs were held for cadets to gain skills in a variety of disciplines. The following cadets showed remarkable effort and achievement:
