We are excited to help spread the word about an upcoming community event hosted by our fellow chapter, CHHA Vancouver!
Join CHHA Vancouver for their 16th Annual Walk2Hear on Sunday, September 20th at Jericho Beach Park! This annual event is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect, support accessibility, and raise funds for the hard-of-hearing and Deaf community. Bring your family, friends, and support network along!
Event Details:
π Date: Sunday, September 20, 2026
π Location: Jericho Beach Park (Grassy area by Jericho East parking lot & pond)
β° Schedule:
1:00 PM β 1:30 PM: Registration
1:30 PM: Warm-up stretches & Walk/Run start
Route Options: 2.2 km loop for walkers / 4.5 km (two laps) for runners
Accessibility: CART captioning and ASL interpreters will be present. Accessible washrooms on-site at the concession building. (Note: Event is on grassy areas/dirt paths)

What to Bring: Water bottle, walking/running shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (rain or shine!), and a spirit of fun.
Getting There:
π Driving: Paid parking at Jericho East EasyPark lot (access off 4th Ave or Point Grey Rd) or nearby street parking.
π² Cycling: Bike racks near the concession/washroom building.
π Transit: Route #4 stops at 4th Ave & Wallace St (5-min walk). Plan your route using TransLink's Trip Planner by searching "Jericho East EasyPark."
