Construction along Township Road 562 is underway starting this week, with the first project being west of Range Road 142. Construction on the bridge east of Range Road 151 is expected to begin September 8th.

During the construction period, the affected sections of Township Road 562 will have some temporary restrictions in place:

• The section of road along Township Road 562, from Range Road 142 to Range Road 143, will only be open to local traffic until construction is complete

• The section of road along Township Road 562, from Range Road 150 to Range Road 151, will only be open to local traffic from approximately September 8th until construction is complete

🚨 Strychnine is Now Available! 🚨

We have officially received our first shipment of Strychnine. The initial purchase limit is 12 bottles per eligible producer.

📞 To arrange a pickup, please contact Sara or Elden to schedule an appointment. Please note that you may not be able to receive product if you arrive without an appointment, as they are the only certified staff authorized to distribute it.

✅ Eligibility Requirements:

You must have completed the Strychnine Stewardship Training.
You must provide proof of certification (either by emailing it in advance or bringing it with you when you pick up your product).

As of June 3, 2026, the Fire Restriction issued on May 6th has been lifted, and the County of Two Hills is no longer under any fire restrictions.

Outdoor burning is permitted with a fire permit, or in fire pits or approved burning appliances.

Effective May 6, 2026, the County of Two Hills has upgraded to a FIRE RESTRICTION.

This means no new Fire Permits or Fireworks Permits are authorized and currently issued Fire Permits or Fireworks Permits are suspended. Exemptions are internal household fireplaces, incinerators (farm or acreage use only), regulated burning barrels, camp stoves, solid fueled barbeques (charcoal briquettes), liquid fueled barbeques (propane & natural gas), recreational fire in an approved fire pit with grate covering, chimney’s, pellet grills, smokers, and appliances in designated camping and recreational areas
