The Trochu Lions began the "Gentlemen Hockey Tournament" in 2003 and it ran consecutive years until 2019. In 2020 COVID shut us down. The Lions are super excited that some young men from Trochu have taken the initiative to revive the tournament. Thank you Ryley Smith, Cooper Cheshire and Landon Kletke on behalf of the "Brutes" for putting this tournament on. The "Brutes Draft Hockey Tournament" will start Saturday, April 1st at 10AM. We hope to see you at the Trochu Arena.

Trochu Lions Club are proud to support Trochu Valley School. Pictured is Lions member and teacher Mr. Stephen Marsh presenting Mrs. Kylie Wagstaff, TroVal athletic director, with a $500 donation for new Jerseys. The Lions make this donation annually as part of an "evergreen" fund for uniforms. Also pictured is Stephen presenting Amber Hutton with the Lions Scholarship. Congratulations Amber, we hope you have a great year at Augustana Campus!

Lions President, Ron Kletke, and Lions member, Dan McFadyen present a $1,000 dollar donation to Trochu Municipal Library board member, Randy Lacey. The Lions motto is "We Serve" and we are happy to assist this wonderful facility in our town.

The Lions Club of Trochu has found ourselves in the regrettable position where we have no alternative but to give up the Lions Campground facility. We will be turning the entire facility over to the Town of Trochu. With the recent restrictions to camping and our reduced revenue due to cancellation of fundraising events, including the hockey tournament, dog show and casino we can not afford to operate the facility this season. We tried, unsuccessfully, to acquire an operational grant from the town, but were refused. We deeply regret this situation and hope this doesn't cause undue hardship for our regular campers.
