Fourth Avenue - 1500 Block Temporary Road Closure for Paving - September 14 - 15, 2026

From Monday, September 14 at 7:30 am to Tuesday, September 15 at 5:00 pm, paving work will be completed in the above noted area. During this time, access to homes will be permitted; however, street parking will not be available. Residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the affected section prior to the start of work.

The contractor will maintain local access for residents where feasible; however, temporary delays or brief access restrictions may be necessary. Please follow all posted traffic control and directions from onsite personnel.

The City appreciates residents' patience and cooperation while this work is being completed.

The Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre will be temporarily closed Wednesday, September 9th from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm for a scheduled electrical shutdown and will reopen on Thursday, September 10th at 8:00 am.

Please note the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre is still shutdown and pools will be re-opening on Monday, September 14th at 6:00 am.

September 8 Water Service Interruption Eighth Avenue, Miral Heights and McBride Street Intersection

There will be a water service interruption for residents of 2296, 2220, 2350, 2352, 2390 Eighth Avenue, all of Miral Heights above Highway 3B and the McBride Street Intersection between approximately 8:00 am and 3:30 pm on Tuesday, September 8 to facilitate a watermain repair and the installation of two new water service connections. Please prepare in advance by having water for drinking, cooking and other household needs prior to the scheduled shutdown.

If you experience discoloured water when the water service is turned back on, run your cold taps for several minutes until the water clears.

The City of Trail Parks and Recreation Department is seeking individuals who are available for employment as a Lifeguard or Water Slide Attendant at the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre. Hours of work may include evening, daytime and weekend shifts.

⚠️ Temporary Pathway Closure
Please note that the pedestrian pathway between Gyro Park and Sunningdale will be closed on Thursday, August 27, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The closure is necessary to support geotechnical investigations for the Charles Lakes Drive Twinned Watermain Project.
🚶‍♂️ No pedestrian access through the work area during this time.

As a result of work being completed at the Trail Memorial Centre, it has become necessary for the westbound right lane to be closed to traffic on Thursday and Friday, August 27 and 28, 2026 between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm in order to safely install infrastructure on the roof of the building with a crane. The corresponding sidewalk will also be closed to pedestrian traffic. The left westbound lane will remain open for through traffic.

The City appreciates the public's patience as this work is being completed.
