我於1991年3月在多倫多成立「駐加拿大台北經濟文化代表處」，同年4月在溫哥華市設立「駐溫哥華台北經濟文化辦事處」，1992年7月在渥太華設立「駐渥太華台北經濟文化辦事處」。1993年8月我駐加拿大代表處由多倫多移駐加京渥太華市並正式對外運作，原駐渥太華辦事處裁撤，另設駐多倫多辦事處。

⚾️【Team TECO Makes Its Debut at the 52nd Formosan Cup!】

A promise kept! Following up on last year's promise, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Toronto proudly stepped onto the field for the first time in recent years as "Team TECO”!

We are thrilled to support the historic Formosan Cup Slow-Pitch Softball 🥎 Tournament, celebrating 52 years of community spirit in Toronto.

For people in Taiwan, baseball and softball are more than just sports—they are a shared cultural identity.

From its passionate founding by North American Taiwanese in 1974 to seeing second and third-generation youth running the bases today.

The tournament's inclusive spirit also shines brighter than ever, drawing passionate players from Filipino, Japanese, Korean, and Hong Kong communities to the diamond.

This event passes down Taiwan’s stories, values, and pride from generation to generation, and fosters friendship between Canada and Taiwan.

「框！」清脆的揮棒聲，敲響了跨越半個世紀的熱血傳奇！

今年，駐多倫多辦事處（TECO）實現了去年的承諾，近年首次正式組成 「Team TECO」隊伍，熱血踏上賽場！

我們非常榮幸受到主辦單位邀請，以球會友，用汗水與歡笑全力支持這項在多倫多深耕、已經擁有 52 年光榮歷史的「福爾摩沙盃壘球賽」（Formosan Cup）！

對台灣人來說，棒球與壘球從來都不只是運動，而是一份刻在骨子裡的集體記憶。

賽場上，我們與來自不同族裔、不同背景的社區隊伍切磋球技。透過每一記精彩的防守、每一次激勵的擊掌，壘球打破了語言藩籬，爭取到更多支持台灣的海外友誼。

從 1974 年北美台灣人熱血創立，到如今看見許多二代、三代年輕面孔在場上奔跑。這顆球傳遞的，不只是球技，更是海外台灣人堅韌不拔的精神。我們透過賽事，把臺灣的故事與榮耀，代代相傳下去。

謝謝為全體參賽球員大聲吶喊、加油的鄉親與朋友們！
今年夏天，我們在多倫多一起揮棒，讓世界看見台灣的凝聚力！

🚨 嚴厲譴責中國片面挑釁 | MOFA strongly condemns the PRC’s latest unilateral provocations!

On September 2, the PLA conducted so-called “combat readiness patrols” near Minzhu Reef in the South China Sea, using dangerous maneuvers that interfered with the routine operations of other countries’ aircraft. These actions are unsafe, irresponsible, and highly provocative — we condemn them in the strongest terms.

Taiwan firmly opposes any unilateral and illegal expansion of power, gray-zone coercion, militarization, or other actions that undermine peace. We call on the PRC to abide by international law, uphold peaceful dispute settlement, and respect the region’s shared desire for stability.

Taiwan will continue working with like-minded partners to safeguard peace and stability in the South China Sea, freedom of navigation and overflight, and a , , international order.

Foreign Minister Lin has just concluded his visit to 🇵🇼and represented 🇹🇼 at the 55th Pacific Islands Forum Summit, sharing Taiwan's vision and values. This visit not only strengthened Taiwan-Palau Relations but also expanded Taiwan's cooperation with allies.

During this visit, Minister Lin witnessed the implementation of multiple Taiwan-Palau collaborative projects across , , and . He also proposed an integrated talent development framework, hoping to share Taiwan's expertise in vocational education to help Pacific partners cultivate the talents they need.

Taiwan is committed to being a trusted development partner for the Pacific region. Through talent cultivation, tourism exchange, investment cooperation, and technological innovation, we work hand-in-hand with Pacific allies to build a more resilient, prosperous, and sustainable future together. 🤝

🇹🇼 🇮🇹 外交部誠摯歡迎 #義大利參議院副議長錢益友率跨黨派國會議員團訪台 | We warmly welcomes the cross-party Italian parliamentary delegation led by Senate Vice President Gian Marco Centinaio!

The two sides held in-depth discussions on Taiwan-Italy cooperation in and , Taiwan’s international participation, and the situation in the . President Lai also personally received the delegation, expressing his hope to deepen Taiwan-Italy economic, trade, and industrial cooperation and open a new chapter! The President specially thanked the Italian Parliament for its long-standing support of Taiwan’s international participation, noting that this is Senate Vice President Centinaio’s visit to Taiwan and the largest Italian parliamentary delegation in history, fully demonstrating support for Taiwan.
Italy is currently Taiwan’s -largest trading partner in the EU. The two sides’ industries are highly complementary, and we look forward to turning friendship into more concrete results. Senate Vice President Centinaio stated that the delegation members come from both ruling and opposition parties as well as different regions of Italy, representing the country comprehensively, and reaffirmed: “Italy is a friend of Taiwan, and Italy stands with Taiwan.”💚🤍❤️

🌏 Taiwan’s premier semiconductor events—SEMICON Taiwan and the Semicon Network Summit 2026—officially kicked off this week! This year’s exhibition hits a record high, bringing together over 1,300 companies from 18 countries across 4,300 booths.

President Lai Ching-te attended the summit, emphasizing that amid the rapid evolution of AI, Taiwan stands as the global tech industry’s most trusted partner thanks to its comprehensive semiconductor ecosystem and high-efficiency manufacturing capability. He encouraged international enterprises to deepen their investment and roots in Taiwan.

Centered on "Trust, Resilience, and Prosperity," the summit gathers nearly 600 government representatives and industry leaders from 38 countries to chart the future of global semiconductor supply chains in the AI era.
