Student Access Collective - TMSU

Student Access Collective - TMSU RyeAccess is one of the seven Equity Service Centres of the Ryerson Students' Union and CESAR. We work on advocacy, events & service provisions.

RyeACCESS is one of six Equity Service Centres of the Ryerson Students' Union. We recognize that students with disabilities have a diverse range of experiences both on and off campus. However, one experience that is consistent is that of disempowerment. Get involved in challenging ableism, audism and sanism on campus with RyeACCESS!

Slide 1: The background is a deep purple with flowing light pinkish-purple waves. Bold white text on the left reads “Looking for events to attend this Black History Month?” Below it, lighter purple text says “Swipe to see more,” with a light pink arrow pointing right. On the right side, a black woman is captured mid-run, sporting a running prosthetic, smiling and holding a blue flower with a smiley face in her left hand. She’s wearing an orange shirt and light blue shorts, with a bright smile on her face. The slide is dotted with twinkling white stars across the background. In the bottom left corner, three logos are visible: the BIPOC Collective Logo, the Student Access Collective Logo, and the TMSU Logo.

Slide 2: The background mirrors the dark purple with soft pink waves. White text dominates the slide, listing several events:

“Ontario Cultural Society for the Deaf: Celebrating Black Deaf Canadians - Saturday, February 22nd @ 1185 Vanrose Street, Mississauga”
“Disability Justice Network of Ontario, CILT: From resisting to resilience: Combating Oppression as Black, Disabled People in Toronto - Thursday, February 27th @ ZOOM”
“ASE Community Foundation: Understanding Disability: Diagnosis Matters! - Friday, February 21st @ Zoom”
“Black Toronto Community Support - Black Toronto Community Day - Sunday, February 23rd @ Ripley’s Aquarium.” In the bottom left, the same three logos from Slide 1 are displayed: the BIPOC Collective Logo, the Student Access Collective Logo, and the TMSU Logo.
