The East Scarborough Storefront was honoured to host a group of students from Singapore during their recent visit to Toronto. Together, we shared the history of Storefront, explored our Connected Community Approach, and engaged in a live-action game at Lovely Acres that encouraged participants to reflect on power, relationships, and decision-making within communities. Through these experiences, students exchanged ideas, built meaningful connections, and gained new perspectives on community leadership and collective impact.

Yesterday, the Storefront staff and steering committee members were honoured to witness the launch of Indigenous House of Unity Toronto Scarborough. It was an incredible experience, and we are so excited to witness this historic moment.
We look forward to continuing to partner, learn, and grow alongside Indigenous communities as we work together toward a stronger and more connected future.

If you’re a low-income household, tenant, or homeowner, join us on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 1:30–2:30 PM at East Scarborough Storefront, 4040 Lawrence Ave. East, to learn how to access FREE energy-saving upgrades and bill supports.

Small changes at home can make a big difference for your household and our community. Get a FREE Energy Savings Kit from CleaResult with practical supplies to make those changes in your home. Kits are available on a first come, first served basis until we run out.

On May 27, 2026, the Food for Good Summit will bring people together to shape the future of food security in Kingston-Galloway-Orton Park. The Summit is a space for resident voices, local knowledge, and practical action rooted in community leadership. And we can't wait to share the results of our Food for Good project with you!

At the East Scarborough Storefront, we know that lasting change happens when people closest to the challenges are part of the solution. With support from our community and partners, we’re building a stronger, more connected KGO for everyone. 🌱

Meet your workshop host, Ehi! 🌟

We are so excited to support a local youth-led initiative right here in our community! Swipe to see the face behind our upcoming Vision Board Workshop: Ehi Eloehi.

Ehi is a 19-year-old Social Service Worker student and varsity basketball player who lives right in the neighborhood. She’s on a mission to create a safe, empowering space for high school girls to talk about confidence, set big goals, and support one another.
