HCol Sally Horsfall Eaton, CM, CD

Sally Horsfall Eaton was appointed Honorary Colonel of The Queen’s York Rangers in 2020 and served until 2025.

Sally Horsfall Eaton has had a far-reaching impact on Canadian society for more than 50 years. She has worked extensively in the non-profit, education and health-care sectors, notably as the founding CEO of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, which she led from 1982 to 1993. She was also founding CEO of the Canadian Hearing Foundation and a steadfast advocate for people with disabilities.

She became the first Chancellor of an Ontario college when appointed to the position at George Brown College in 2012, later becoming Chancellor Emeritus. She also held several senior honorary appointments with the Canadian Army Reserve, including Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of 709 (Toronto) Communication Regiment from 1996 to 2003 and Honorary Colonel of 32 Signal Regiment from 2003 to 2014. She was a member of the Executive Committee of the National Honorary Colonels Council.

Throughout her career, Horsfall Eaton has contributed her time, expertise and resources to numerous charitable, educational and community organizations. She has served on the boards and advisory bodies of organizations including St. John’s Rehabilitation Hospital, McMaster University, Green Shield Canada and the Centre for Studies of Children at Risk, and chaired the Advisory Board on the Voluntary Sector for the Premier’s Office in Ontario.

Her many honours include appointment to the Order of Canada, the Canadian Forces Decoration, the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree. She is also a Serving Sister of the Order of St. John.

She continues to contribute to philanthropic organizations and serves as President of Sky Blue Marlin Corp. and Trustee of The John C. and Sally Horsfall Eaton Foundation.

The Mission Starts With The Brief 🎯

Members of 32 Signal Regiment gathered with their Commanding Officer, Lieutenant-Colonel B. MacLennan, CD, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Petawawa in Petawawa, Ontario, for an introduction and briefing ahead of Ex STEADFAST WARRIOR 2026.

Running from 22–30 August 2026, Ex STEADFAST WARRIOR is 32 CBG’s annual multi-domain field training and readiness exercise. The exercise provides an opportunity for members to put the skills, knowledge, and training they’ve developed throughout the year into action in a demanding field environment.

to everyone who participated, and a huge thank you to the staff and support personnel whose hard work helped make the exercise a success.

La mission commence par le briefing 🎯

Les membres du 32e Régiment des transmissions se sont réunis avec leur commandant, le lieutenant-colonel B. MacLennan, CD, le samedi 22 août 2026, à la Base des Forces canadiennes (BFC) Petawawa, à Petawawa, en Ontario, pour une séance d’introduction et un briefing en préparation de l’exercice STEADFAST WARRIOR 2026.

Se déroulant du 22 au 30 août 2026, l’exercice STEADFAST WARRIOR est l’exercice annuel d’instruction en campagne et de préparation opérationnelle multidomaine du 32e Groupe-brigade du Canada (32 GBC). Cet exercice permet aux membres de mettre en pratique, dans un environnement de campagne exigeant, les compétences, les connaissances et l’instruction qu’ils ont développées tout au long de l’année.

Bravo à toutes les personnes qui ont participé! Un immense merci également au personnel et aux équipes de soutien dont le travail acharné a contribué au succès de l’exercice.

32 Signal Regiment Family Council BBQ ⚡️🤝

On Saturday, August 8th, 2026, the 32 Signal Regiment Family Council brought members of the Regimental family together for an afternoon of good food, good company, and community at the Armour Heights Officers Mess (AHOM) at the Canadian Forces College (CFC) in Toronto, Ontario.

The 32 Signal Regiment Family Council is a support and community network for members of 32 Signal Regiment, their families, veterans, and affiliated groups such as local cadet corps. The Council helps build connections, support families, strengthen the wider 32 Signal Regiment community, and create opportunities for everyone to come together.

A huge thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who helped make this BBQ a success, and to everyone who came out and made the afternoon so enjoyable.

We hope to see you at the next one!

BBQ du Conseil de la famille du 32e Régiment des transmissions ⚡️🤝

Le samedi 8 août 2026, le Conseil de la famille du 32e Régiment des transmissions a réuni des membres de la famille régimentaire pour un après-midi rempli de bonne nourriture, de bonne compagnie et de camaraderie à l’Armour Heights Officers Mess (AHOM), au Collège des Forces canadiennes (CFC), à Toronto, en Ontario.

Le Conseil de la famille du 32e Régiment des transmissions est un réseau de soutien et de communauté pour les membres du 32e Régiment des transmissions, leurs familles, les vétérans ainsi que les groupes affiliés, tels que les corps de cadets locaux. Le Conseil contribue à créer des liens, à soutenir les familles, à renforcer l’ensemble de la communauté du 32e Régiment des transmissions et à offrir des occasions de se réunir.

Un immense merci à tous les organisateurs et bénévoles qui ont contribué au succès de ce BBQ, ainsi qu’à tous ceux et celles qui sont venus participer et qui ont rendu l’après-midi si agréable.

Another Day at the Office… 🎯💥

From 5–7 June 2026, 32 Signal Regiment concluded the 2025–2026 training year with Exercise MERCURY WARRIOR 2026 at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden, Ontario.

A highlight of the weekend was the Personal Weapons Test (PWT) III range shoot, where members put their weapons handling, marksmanship, and core soldiering skills to the test.

Exercise MERCURY WARRIOR 2026 was designed to reinforce core soldiering skills, build physical fitness, and strengthen unit cohesion through a variety of challenging and fun activities. The weekend included a written knowledge test, a 5 km ruck march, an obstacle course, gr***de toss, rappelling, a PWT III range shoot, and an end-of-cycle BBQ.

Une autre journée au bureau… 🎯💥

Du 5 au 7 juin 2026, le 32e Régiment des transmissions a conclu l’année d’instruction 2025-2026 avec l’exercice MERCURY WARRIOR 2026 à la Base des Forces canadiennes (BFC) Borden, en Ontario.

L’un des moments forts de la fin de semaine a été le tir dans le cadre du Test d’armes personnelles (TAP) III, au cours duquel les membres ont mis à l’épreuve leur maniement des armes, leur adresse au tir et leurs compétences militaires fondamentales.

L’exercice MERCURY WARRIOR 2026 visait à renforcer les compétences militaires fondamentales, à développer la condition physique et à favoriser la cohésion de l’unité grâce à une variété d’activités exigeantes et amusantes. La fin de semaine comprenait un test de connaissances écrit, une marche avec sac à dos de 5 km, un parcours d’obstacles, un lancer de gr***de, une descente en rappel, un tir dans le cadre du Test d’armes personnelles (TAP) III ainsi qu’un barbecue de fin de cycle d’instruction.
