So Alberta has signed onto $10 a day child care, but Ontario still hasn't? Come on.
This is a huge reason why Doug Ford needs to be voted out next year. He may eventually come around like he did on paid sick days, but he has proven time and again that he doesn't understand that child care is among the biggest expenses for many families in Ontario, and that providing more access to it would give families financial support.
We should be supporting families, not denying their realities.
Alberta and the federal government have reached a deal to support an average of $10-a-day child care and create 42,500 new regulated early learning and child care spaces by the end of March 2026.
