Yesterday’s storm brought a significant increase in calls for service across the city. Our members worked alongside our first responder and emergency partners to respond to those who needed us most.

Non-emergency calls also saw a substantial increase with 831 calls, compared to 579 calls during the same period on September 1, a 44% increase in volume.

From education to enforcement, officers were out ensuring micromobility devices were being operated safely and legally. Service-wide, 324 tickets and warnings were issued for micromobility-related violations, and our Parking Enforcement Unit issued 1,277 tickets to vehicles parked in bike lanes.

On August 27 at approximately 1:21 a.m., an incident occurred in the Bellamy Road North and Lawrence Avenue East area.

Every fi***rm seized is one less threat to our communities. Over a seven-day period, our officers removed 6 crime guns off our streets and laid 34 charges. So far this year, we have seized a total of 349 crime guns. These results reflect the ongoing work being done every day to enhance public safety and reduce gun violence across Toronto.
