Today is World Mental Health Day.

This year’s theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” highlights the importance of listening to people’s experiences and making sure their voices help shape better mental health supports.

At TSHC, we recognize that mental health and well-being are important at every age. Today is a reminder to listen, check in with one another and help build communities where people feel heard, respected and supported.

October 1 is a day to celebrate seniors here in Canada and around the world, as we mark National Seniors Day and the International Day of Older Persons.

Today, we celebrate the experiences, contributions and connections that seniors bring to our communities every day.

Over the past year, we’ve shared so many moments with tenants across Toronto Seniors Housing - moments of friendship, creativity, celebration and community.

Today is a chance to recognize those moments and celebrate the many ways seniors continue to shape and strengthen our communities.

Happy National Seniors Day.

Today, Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation recognizes the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities. We also recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system and the importance of continuing to learn about the histories and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

TSHC remains committed to fostering an inclusive organization and to continued learning as part of the ongoing journey of reconciliation.
