Prevention Link - Disability Prevention at Work Provide workplace insurance and disability prevention training and advisory services to Ontario workers and workplaces

Building on the more than 30 years of success of the Occupational Disability Response Team (ODRT), Prevention Link will use the latest industry and sector data available to better understand the areas of greatest need to focus and direct its outreach and intervention efforts. With the support of Ontario’s Ministry of Labour Prevention Office, Prevention Link has been improved to better represent i

ts renewed ‘secondary prevention’ focus. It will build on the experience and success of a network of workplace-based volunteers to enhance primary and secondary prevention of workplace injury and illness. Initial prevention of injury and illness as well as preventing re-injury after return to work benefits both workers and employers.

Occupational injuries and illnesses are a preventable workplace epidemic that continues to cost tens of thousands of lives and impact many working families in . On the Day of Mourning, Prevention Link stands with Ontarians to honour those we’ve lost, support those who’ve been injured, and recommit to making every workplace safer.

One workplace death or injury is one too many. Occupational health and safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we must collaboratively strengthen our resolve to ensure every Ontario worker gets home safe.

🕯️We encourage organizations, employees, communities, and individuals to observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m. on April 28 or join a commemorative event in your community if you can.
