Contrary to the popular belief of the intrusion of a third party(ies) in a couple's life, I think the root of marital discord, in general, is financial control, secrecy, or abuse by one or both party.
Notwithstanding that one spouse is or has been the "breadwinner", the bread belongs to both spouse in a relationship. If the other spouse who does not go out to make $$$, he or she should at least acknowledge the hardwork of the beloved husband/wife and try to do his/her part in the household with full (seemingly equal) amount of sincerity.
Some examples of such behavior are:
- একজনের ব্যাঙ্ক একাউন্টের খোঁজখবর আরেকজনের কাছ থেকে গোপন রাখা
- পিতামাতা, ভাইবোন, বা অন্য কাউকে গোপনে সাহায্য করা
- ছেলেমেয়ের চাইল্ড ট্যাক্স বেনেফিটস সরিয়ে রাখা
- সঙ্গীকে আয়ের খোঁটা দেয়া
- নিজের রোজগারকে পরিবারের যৌথ ধন না ভেবে শুধু নিজের জন্য খামখেয়ালীপূর্ণ খরচ করা
- নিজের শখ পূরণ করা এবং আরেকজনকে একই রকম সুযোগ না দেয়া
- বর্তমান পরিবারের যৌথ উপার্জন থেকে নিজের পূর্বের পরিবার (বাবা-মা, ভাইবোন) এর জন্য অধিক খরচ করা।
- স্পাউসের পরিবারের বিপদ আপদে সামর্থ্য থাকা সত্ত্বেও পাশে না দাঁড়ানো।
- কৃপনতা বা অমিতব্যয়ীতা
