The Sister Kathleen Jackman Memorial Scholarships are awarded annually to young leaders of Caribbean descent who demonstrate a strong commitment to personal excellence and notable contributions to community development.

A Trinidadian, Sister Kathleen Jackman belonged to order of the Dominican Sisters, and was appointed to the Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church in November 1979. She became a popular and much loved youth leader, championing the rights of underprivileged children and youth.

The Sister Kathleen Jackman Memorial Scholarship was established in 1999 to proudly honour her legacy of service and to continue supporting the youth of our community.

Some captures below from this year’s award ceremony held yesterday (Saturday, June 13,2026).
